Introducing Linus
Linus is originally from Karlskoga, Sweden, but moved to Spain for studies and fell in love with the country. Today he lives in Malaga and is working as a Mortgage Advisor at Habeno.
Describe a typical day at work
On a typical day, I get up around eight, get ready and drive into the office in Marbella. I start my working day with a cup of coffee and then I turn on the computer. There will be a couple of reconciliation meetings to see how our customers are doing and what the plan is for the day. Then I spend most of my day in conversation with our customers. Both over the phone and via email, and sometimes even clients who prefer to meet physically come to the office.
What is your favourite part of your job?
What's unique about Habeno is that I get to participate and influence how we work. If there is something that I think could be improved, my colleagues listen to my suggestions.
Since the start, we’ve always dared to question the status quo, and seen what works and what doesn’t work well. We have always had that culture here at Habeno and I feel very comfortable in this environment.

How do you spend a day off in Malaga?
When I'm free, I usually try to sleep in, because I'm not a morning person. If the weather is nice, I usually go to the beach with my girlfriend or we go on a road trip. We love to explore Spain and discover new places!
Tell us about a hidden gem in Malaga
The beach may not be a hidden gem, but it is very long and there is plenty to discover along the beach walk. There are lots of good seafood restaurants.
Where would you like to live the rest of your life?
Easy. Malaga Towers. Look them up if you haven't heard about them.
Any advice when buying a home in Malaga?
It is especially important when buying a house in Spain or Malaga that you familiarise yourself with the area.
A house can be lovely, but if you don't enjoy the area, it's never a good idea.
